Graduating from Nottingham Trent University in 1989 with an honours degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, Paul went on to gain extensive experience in both the private and public sectors.

Having worked for a contractor, local authority and a number of consulting engineers he has a comprehensive insight in the building process, gained over a 20 year period.

Paul has been involved with a wide range of projects including, aircraft hangars, industrial buildings, hospitals, schools, leisure centres, office developments, innovation centres, retail centres, historic building, warehousing, listed buildings, refurbishments, wet wells, pumping stations, combined sewer overflows, housing schemes, social centres, multi-storey car parks, foot bridges, water and earth retaining structures.

Having started his career as a steelwork designer he soon developed expertise in concrete, timber and masonry design. Paul is particularly interested in sustainable building practices and this lead him to writing a number of technical papers.

He has been a Chartered Structural Engineer since 1996 and a Chartered Civil Engineer since 1997. His membership of the Chartered Quality and Chartered Management Institutes is indicative of his commitment to delivering client focused quality services.
